The Flemington-Raritan School District offers an integrated preschool experience for residents of the community who are 3-4 years of age on or before October 1st of the school year. The program seeks to provide a safe and nurturing learning experience in which children can play and learn. Children identified by the Child Study Team as eligible for special education and related services and general education peers are placed together in an integrated learning environment that utilizes a developmental approach. Children are immersed in a variety of planned activities that promote readiness skills, language and social/emotional growth.
*If your child meets the Kindergarten cut-off date and will be 5 years of age on or before October 1st,
please contact your neighborhood elementary school for Kindergarten registration.*
The Flemington-Raritan Integrated Preschool Program is held five days a week at Copper Hill Elementary School. While the District remains on the virtual only school schedule, a half day 3-year old morning session is available from 8:55am-10:25am, a half day 3-year old afternoon session is available from 10:25am-12:00pm, and a full day 4-year old session is available from 8:55am-12:00pm. The preschool program will run daily, however, due to the shortened sessions, the program will not include lunch time or specials in the schedule.
While the district remains on the shortened day schedule, the tuition rates have been adjusted. The monthly rate for the half-day program is $240 for 3-year old (half-day) general education peers who are not eligible for special education and related services. The monthly rate for the full day program is $350 for 4-year old (full day) general education peers who are not eligible for special education and related services. Transportation is not provided for general education students.
The classes are taught by teachers with the appropriate certification. Teaching Assistants provide additional instructional support.
Children need to be toilet trained upon entry into the program.
