¡Conoce a la Señorita Augustine!
¡Hola a todos! I am so excited to be joining the FRSD family as the newest elementary Spanish teacher in Barley Sheaf and Copper Hill! In 2016, I graduated from Monmouth University with a B.A. in K-12 Spanish and Education with a concentration in English as a Second Language. While attending Monmouth, I participated in a study abroad program in Cádiz, Spain where my love for the Spanish language grew even more!
My goal as a World Language teacher is for every student to have FUN while learning Spanish! Throughout the year we will practice and learn the Spanish language through songs and music, dances, multisensory activities, choral responses, technology, conversations, role-playing, body movements and sign langauge, as well as many other motivational and engaging activities. By utilizing a naturalistic language immersion approach, my students will feel comfortable and confident to speak Spanish before they know it!
In my free time I like to travel, practice kickboxing, spend time with friends, go to the beach, play with my dogs, go skiing, and read. In my family I am the oldest of 4 and love to do fun things with my siblings. My family is big and crazy and I wouldn't have it any other way!
If you have any further questions about the World Language program or about myself, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I look forward to a fulfilling and exciting first year at FRSD!
Nos vemos pronto :)
