• Meet Our Nurses


    Michele Goodman, the nurse at Barley Sheaf Elementary School, graduated from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and received her School Nurse Certification from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania.  She previously worked as a Certified School Nurse in Bethlehem, PA for 14 years and most recently spent 4 years as an Early Childhood/Elementary School Nurse in Hoboken, NJ.   Mrs. Goodman joined the Barley Sheaf team in September 2018.

    Melanie Rosengarden


    Melanie Rosengarden, the nurse at Copper Hill School, graduated from Muhlenberg Hospital/Union County College with an Associate Degree in Nursing, Seton Hall University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and holds a Master of Education in School Nursing degree from Cambridge College. She attended the NJ School Nurse Certification Program at Caldwell College. She is also certified by the National Board of Certification of School Nurses. Her past nursing experience includes work in a pediatric intensive care unit, Charge Nurse for the opening of a Pediatric Enhanced Care ICU, and three years as a grade 4-8 Middle School nurse. She is  a CPR instructor for the district, represents the nurses on the District Safety Committee,and is our lead nurse trainer for our electronic health record keeping system.  In 2011, she was selected to participate in the prestigious Johnson and Johnson School Health Leadership Institute. Mrs. Rosengarden has been the nurse at Copper Hill School since 2003.

    Noreen Bradley

    Noreen Bradley, the nurse at JP Case Middle School, graduated from the University of Scranton with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and attended the NJ School Nurse Certification Program at Rutgers University. She is also certified by the National Board of Certification of School Nurses.  Her past nursing experience of 22 years includes medical/surgical nursing, coronary care and telemetry. She also worked in a cardiology office and was a Research Nurse Coordinator at RWJ Medical School Division of Hypertension and Infectious Disease where they did clinical trials related to hypertension, diabetes and infectious diseases. Mrs. Bradley has been the nurse at JP Case Middle School since 2010 and was instrumental in helping to create our  current district concussion guidelines and procedures.

    Kathleen Barbee

    Kathleen Barbee, the nurse at Francis A. Desmares Elementary School, graduated from Boston College with a BS in nursing and received her certification in school nursing from Rutgers University.  Her past nursing experience includes 21 years of family-centered obstetrical nursing, most recently at Hunterdon Medical Center from 2000-2011 where she assisted in the delivery of some of her current students.  Mrs. Barbee was also a substitute school nurse in our district for two years before receiving her certification.  She had been the school nurse at Bloomsbury Elementary School for the three years prior to joining us in 2014.  She has a special interest in school safety.




    Susanna Cunniff, the nurse at Robert Hunter Elementary School, graduated from Seton Hall University and received her school nurse certification from Rutgers University.  She was a substitute nurse in our district for two years before receiving her certification.  Mrs. Cunniff has a diverse nursing background in patient care areas including women's oncology, the burn step-down unit, renal transplant unit, telemetry, and maternal-child health. Most recently she worked in a gastrointestinal surgical center where she provided perioperative care and served as an infusion nurse for patients receiving treatment for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Mrs. Cunniff joined our nurse team in 2016.  



    Leigh Ann Koch is the nurse at Reading-Fleming Intermediate School. She received her BSN from West Chester University and School Nurse Certification from Rutgers University. Mrs. Koch has 26 years of emergency care experience and has subbed in our district for six years. Mrs. Koch is happy to be a member of the RFIS family since 2017.
