    August 2020

     Dear Third Grade Families,

My name is Miss Rowe, and I am so excited to be your child’s third grade teacher during the 2020-2021 school year. I am thrilled to begin my sixth year of teaching third grade at Barley Sheaf. As a Barley Sheaf student during my own elementary school days, I am very happy to be teaching at the same school that I grew up attending!

As an educator, I feel that a home-school connection is very important. In order to keep you updated with the happenings within our classroom, I will post information about the topics that we will be studying each month on my teacher website beneath the title “Ready for S’more Learning.” I will also be providing a “Weekly Wrap-Up” email on Fridays to review the topics introduced, discussed, and explored throughout the week.

During the first week of school, students will have the opportunity to share about the reading they completed over the summer. For more information, please refer to https://sites.google.com/frsd.us/summerreading/home.

By Tuesday, September 8, 2020, I would greatly appreciate you writing an email to share some information with me about your student. You might want to include a brief biography, interests, strengths, expectations that you have for your child in third grade, and any other information that you would like to share with me as the school year begins. You can send this letter via email using my e-mail ID, which can be found on the homepage of my website.

I will be sending information to you via email about a Virtual Meet the Teacher. Thank you so much for your support. I am looking forward to a great school year!

    Sincerely,

    Miss Rowe
