    August 2019

     Dear Third Grade Families,

My name is Miss Rowe, and I am so excited to be your child’s third grade teacher during the 2019-2020 school year. I am thrilled to begin my fifth year of teaching third grade at Barley Sheaf. As a Barley Sheaf student during my own elementary school days, I am very happy to be teaching at the same school that I grew up attending!

In September, we will be welcoming Miss Sara Albani, our student teacher, into Room 37. Miss Albani is currently a student at Rider University, and she will be joining us during the first part of the school year.

As an educator, I feel that a home-school connection is very important. In order to keep you updated with the happenings within our classroom, I will post information about the topics that we will be studying each month on my teacher website beneath the title “Ready for S’more Learning.” I will also be providing a “Weekly Wrap-Up” email on Fridays to review the topics introduced, discussed, and explored throughout the week.

During the week of September 9, students will have the opportunity to share about the reading they completed over the summer. For more information, please refer to https://sites.google.com/frsd.us/summerreading/home.

By Monday, September 9, 2019, I would greatly appreciate you writing a letter to share some information with me about your student. You might want to include a brief biography, interests, strengths, expectations that you have for your child in third grade, and any other information that you would like to share with me as the school year begins. You can send this letter via email using my e-mail ID: krowe, or you may send your letter in a sealed envelope with your child once the school year begins.

Thank you so much for your support. Miss Albani and I look forward to meeting you at Back-to-School Night on Thursday, September 19, 2019!

    Sincerely,

    Miss Rowe
