     PLEASE--

           *label all student belongs.

           *check backpacks daily.

*remember to send your child with a lunch or lunch  money daily (money can be put on your child's lunch account, checks payable to FRBOE). If your child has difficulty communicating choices, please indicate their lunch choice in their communication book in the morning.

*send your child with a healthy snack daily as per the district wellness policy.  A drink and no more than 1 food item is suggested.

*send a change of clothes to school with your child appropriate for the weather to be kept in school for emergencies;  if clothing is used on a given day, please send in replacement items the next day.

*REMEMBER TO CALL TRANSPORTATION (284-7154), THE SCHOOL OFFICE (284-7660), AND OUR CLASSROOM (Matuszkiewicz ext. 5935, Payton ext. 5936) IF YOUR CHILD WILL BE ABSENT. Also, an absentee note is required after a child  has been absent.  It is helpful for us to be aware of your child's illness, as we like to keep track of what might be "traveling" around the room.

*keep the school updated on any medical changes/concerns.

*write a note each time your child's normal dismissal routine changes.  When picking your child up from school, a note is necessary.  You must also sign your child out in the office.

*be familiar with the related arts schedule--remember, we are now on a 6-day schedule.  Children need to wear sneakers on gym day or they will not be allowed to participate.

*let us know if/when you would like to celebrate your child's birthday.  This is entirely optional.  You may also decide if your child will celebrate with his/her general education class, our class, or both.

*feel free to contact us at any time.  The best time is to call us before school from 8:30-8:50 or to e-mail us. A message can be left if no one is available and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

*send in extra tissues--we go through a lot!
