• Welcome Fabulous Fourth Graders!

    September 2023-24

Hello and welcome to fourth grade! I hope you had a wonderful summer and are looking forward to an exciting year as our school leaders.

My name is Emy Drew and I will be your teacher for the 2023-2024 school year! I live in Sergeantsville with my husband, Tim, our son, Gavin, daughter, Alexa, and our dog, Roxy. This summer, my family and I vacationed in Hilton Head, South Carolina and Ocracoke, North Carolina, where we enjoyed spending time at the beach and with family.

When you come in on the first day of school, you will see old friends and meet new ones, you will practice new routines, and you will start to set goals for your learning.

What should you bring with you on the first day?

    • Healthy Snack - Pick something nutritious! We are a peanut and tree nut free classroom. Be allergy aware and bring a fruit or a veggie as a snack.

    • A water bottle that you can refill in our RH bottle refilling fountain in the cafeteria.

    • Lunch - pack or you may purchase in the cafeteria.

    • Classroom supplies - bring these items on the first day.  We will spend time getting organized on Thursday and will keep extra supplies in a ziploc bag with your name on it.

    • If you ordered - PTO supply kit will be there in your class on the first day of school.

    • Pencils - 1 dozen  (regular or mechanical pencils)

    • 3 Marble Notebooks - 100 sheets each

    • 3 One-Subject Spiral Notebooks

    • Take-home folder - your choice

    • One folder for Music

    • Pencil case to fit in your desk

    • Colored pencils - 1 box

    • 2 large glue sticks

    • Headphones/Earbuds

    • 2 Boxes of tissues

    • A picture of something you enjoyed this summer that you’d like to share.  This can be a photo with you in it, a magazine picture, or a hand-drawn picture of something you enjoyed.

    • Summer Reading - you will share about your summer reading. Pick a favorite and be prepared to share the title and a brief summary of what you read.

Looking forward to meeting you!  See you on September 7, in room 132!

    Sincerely,

    Mrs. Drew

    Welcome Fabulous Fourth Graders!

    September 2023-24

Hello 4th grade Parents and Guardians,

These are challenging times and I want to assure you that we will keep the health and well-being of your child foremost in our day to day lessons and activities.  I’d like to get to know your child and would appreciate your input.   Here are a few things you can help me with and some pertinent information so that we can stay in touch and meet the needs of your child.

Thank you! Looking forward to a great year!

    Emy Drew

    1. Allergy Awareness: Please be aware that a child in our classroom has a life-threatening allergy to peanuts and tree nuts and we should avoid having this food in our classroom. We will send home a letter from our nurse, Mrs. Cunniff, which requires you to read and sign to send back with your child that you are aware and understand how we can keep everyone safe.
