Mrs. McCarthy is the preschool relief teacher and spends time with students from all preschool classes at Robert Hunter. She discovered a passion for education by helping her own children learn to read. After 9 years as a stay-at-home mom to her son and two daughters, Mrs. McCarthy decided to follow her dream of becoming a preschool teacher. Mrs. McCarthy has a rich and diverse background as a teacher’s assistant in the early childhood setting, riding instructor, artist and retail store manager. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts in New York City that she uses to bring a positive and creative approach to her instruction. She is currently working toward a Masters in early childhood education at Rider University. Her hobbies include horseback riding, competing in dog agility with her beagle Coco and border collie Cosmic and oil painting. She loves being a part of the Robert Hunter community!
