Mrs. McCarthy
Mrs. McCarthy is the preschool relief teacher at FAD. She discovered a passion for education by helping her own children learn to read. After 9 years as a stay-at-home mom to her son and two daughters, Mrs. McCarthy decided to follow her dream of becoming a preschool teacher. She is so grateful to be joining the amazing and welcoming team at Francis A. Desmares as a preschool relief teacher. Prior to starting at FAD, Mrs. McCarthy was a teacher’s assistant in the preschool program at Robert Hunter and a preschool relief teacher at Robert Hunter and Copper Hill. Mrs. McCarthy has a rich and diverse
background as a teacher’s assistant in the early childhood setting, riding instructor, artist and retail store manager. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts in New York City that she uses to bring a positive and creative approach to her instruction. She
is currently working toward a Masters in early childhood education at Rider University. Her hobbies include horseback riding, competing in dog agility with her beagle Coco and border collie Cosmic and oil painting. She is very excited to be joining the FAD community!
