•  My name is Sarah Fontanez.  I joined the Robert Hunter staff as the school counselor for the 2010-2011 school year.

I earned my Bachelors degree from the University of Pennsylvania and my Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from the College of New Jersey.  Prior to coming to Robert Hunter, I have held positions in Phillipsburg, NJ and Philadelphia. PA.

As the school counselor, it is my goal to promote social, educational and emotional growth for all students at Robert Hunter.  I conduct small group social skills counseling sessions during lunches and often meet with groups of students to conduct conflict resolution sessions.  I also meet with students individually to address a number of concerns.  I also teach large group developmental counseling lessons to classes utilizing the Second Step curriculum and assist in school wide initiatives.  Parents, social service agencies and school staff use me as a resource.  Finally, I am the anit-bullying specialist for the school.

It is my hope to get to know all students at Robert Hunter so they are comfortable using me as a resource if needed.  Any student can request to meet with me.  Parents/caregivers, adminstrator, social services agencies can also refer students.
