    Step 1 - Pre-Research
    Pre-research is an important part of the research process.  If done properly and with some thought, it will be very helpful to you when you begin the formal research for your paper. You will need to do the required pre-research on your assigned topic before you actually start the research for your paper in January. 
     
     
    Use only the resources below to complete your pre-research by the assigned due date.  Library research will begin on Wednesday, January 6 and the pre-research organizer must be completed by then.
     
    Pre-Research Resources
    Start your pre-research with the general encyclopedia, World Book Online.  Next search the specialized databases in Facts on File.  Junior Reference Collection will be very helpful if your topic is a person.  If your topic is an event, you can also check the resources on Encyclopedia.com.
