Mr. Blampey
I was born in the small town of Kalgoorlie, located in the western part of Australia. As a child I lived in a remote desert community close to the center of Australia, spent time on the small Pacific island of Maoke, and moved around from suburb to suburb in one of the world's most isolated yet beautiful cities, Perth.
It was in Perth that I attended most of my years of schooling, including my college years. At the University of Western Australia I spent four years working towards my Bachelor of Science. Following this I grew itchy feet and set off on an adventure across the globe seeing beautiful place after beautiful place. 14 months later I returned home to complete my Graduate Diploma of Education (Australian for Masters) at Edith Cowan University.
Whilst at Edith Cowan, I met my wife who was studying abroad from.... you guessed it, Flemington, N.J. After graduating, we spent two years teaching in the small town of Northam, situated in the picturesque Avon Valley. Like Hunterdon County it is also known for its excellent ballooning conditions in addition to holding one of the world's greatest white water races.
In January of 2011 my wife and I left Australia to travel throughout South East Asia before arriving in New Jersey. In the fall of 2012 I began my full time employment at F.R.S.D. as a 5th grade Language Arts and Science teacher at R.F.IS. After seven years I decided to ride the wings of change and take up the Stretch position at Robert Hunter.
In June 2014, on the last day of that school year, my daughter Kalani was born. Following in that tradition my son Kai was born on the last week of school in June of 2016.
If I am to be your teacher this year there is a good chance we're going to have a great time.
