My name is Mrs. Cascio and I am proud to be at Desmares School working with our Dolphins. This is my 21st year of teaching, the last nine of which have been for the Flemington Raritan School District, where I taught 3rd grade at Barley Sheaf School and now the Stretch Program here at Desmares. I started teaching in 1991 in Hillsborough Township, where I taught Transitional Primary, a 1st/2nd grade looping class, and then supported students in grade 1-5. I took some years off to be at home with my children, and am thrilled to be back in the classroom.
I love to read, swim, walk, run, bike, play piano, garden, take pictures, play board games, snuggle with my dogs, and watch my girls play sports and participate in their other activities. My secret passion is singing, but I'm not very good at it!
I have three wonderful daughters. They are 20, 17, and 15 and are lots of fun. Their names all begin with the letter G. Can you guess what they might be? We rescued our dog, Ginger, from a shelter 11 years ago and 6 years ago we welcomed a black lab into our home. Last summer we welcomed our third dog, a cockapoo puppy named Henry! Our pond has some fish and my youngest daughter just received a dwarf hamster from my oldest for her birthday!
I'm looking forward to a great year at Desmares and hoping it's my best yet!
