All elementary computer labs in the Flemington Raritan school district are equipped with Macintosh multi-media computers and printers. The educational value of the Macintosh computers suits the needs of our K-2 students. Elementary Computer Literacy teachers work closely with classroom teachers to provide computer lab experiences that incorporate and extend regular classroom activities while building computer skills. The goals of the elementary technology curriculum are to help students build fundamental skills, access greater amounts of information from a variety of resources, develop problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, and to help students become independent computer users while meeting the objectives of the NJ State Core Curriculum Technology and ISTE Standards. Students will build the skills needed to become empowered learners, creative communicators, and safe and responsible Digital Citizens.
