Mrs. Schrum

Growing up, I always knew I wanted to become a teacher. I am the oldest of four children (I have two sisters and a brother). We constantly played "school" in our basement, where I was most often the teacher. Throughout my childhood education, I had many influential teachers who inspired me to go to college and get my teaching degree. Thus, I went to Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, where I received my Bachelors of Arts & Sciences in Psychology in May 2014 and graduated in May 2015 with my Masters degree in Special Education. I have a dual NJ Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing in Elementary School Teaching K-6 as well as in Students with Disabilities K-12.

I may be a familiar face to some as I've been a teacher at Barley Sheaf for the last four years. The only thing different about me this year is that I got married this summer! My name used to be Ms. Shein, now I am Mrs. Schrum. I've taught 3rd grade, Resource Room, Project Success and LLD. I am thrilled to continue teaching here at Barley Sheaf and am really looking forward to teaching 4th grade LLD this year.
