    Dear Parents,

I will begin conducting the end of year oral assessments. We have been working on acquiring specific vocabulary per grade level. I performed this assessment at the beginning of the year. My expectation is that all of my students will demonstrate growth and progress. Below you will find the rubric used to score their performance. If you would like specific grade level vocabulary please visit my website and select Oral Assessments.

This data is utilized for the following:

    • To determine pacing

    • To determine individual and group rate of language acquisition

    • To determine level of retention

    • To provide individual student progress towards standards

    • To individualize assessment of progress towards standards

My students are graded based on their individual progress toward the standards. Therefore, I am looking for growth and my focus is on their ability to produce the language and communicate.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to email me at npeake@frsd.k12.nj.us

    Thank you,

    Señora Peake
