Welcome to another school year for your child! As students are getting used to their new classroom, teacher, and peers, student support staff will be screening students who may be eligible for additional services. We meet with many students across grade levels, as we also assist classroom teachers in completing beginning assessments. Just because your child may say they visited with us does not necessarily mean we will have the privilege of supporting their literacy skills. Upon completion of all District assessments, we will call to let you know if your child qualifies for one of the support programs.
In the meantime, please continue to read with your child on a nightly basis. To see how valuable this time is for your child's education and success, click on the image below!
As always, please feel free to reach out if you have questions about your child or the literacy support programs.
