Thank you for visiting my page. My name Miss Glanzmann and this is my 15th year at Robert Hunter School. I am very excited to meet and work with our new third graders!
Would you like to know some of the exciting things you will learning this year? Most third graders are eager to learn to write in cursive, to continue to explore with numbers, and do many science experiments. Third grade scientists will be investigating the interesting world of habitats, as well as blasting off into space during our study of the solar system. We'll also learn many interesting facts about the Indians of New Jersey.
We plan to do many writing pieces which include writing descriptive paragraphs, responding to prompts, and writing poetry. Since all your writing is unique and special to you, we'd like to make your writing journal personal. During the first week of school, a writing assignment will be to collect pictures to decorate your writing composition book. You'll cut them out and glue them to your book on the covers during our first few days. Your pictures can be from magazines, calendars, photos of you and your family, or whatever makes you happy.
This will be a great year for all of us. We are all so lucky to be part of a caring community of learners. Get ready to "Blast Off" on your exciting third grade journey with me! It's going to be a wonderful adventure! I can't wait to meet you on your first day and don't forget to bring your smile!
