Staff Spotlight: Welcome, Mrs. Switkes!
Our District warmly welcomes Mrs. Amy Switkes! Mrs. Switkes has joined Barley Sheaf School as the new Vice Principal.
Mrs. Switkes holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rutgers College. She also earned a master’s degree and dual teaching certifications in elementary and special education from the Graduate School of Education at Rutgers University.
Mrs. Switkes began her teaching career in Piscataway Township as a third-grade teacher. For the last five years, she taught a self-contained autism class.
While teaching in Piscataway, Mrs. Switkes completed her English as a Second Language teaching certification from The College of New Jersey. Mrs. Switkes also received her principal and supervisor certifications through the Foundation of Educational Administration’s NJ-EXCEL program.
We are pleased and proud to welcome Mrs. Switkes to our Flemington-Raritan family!
