Staff Spotlight: Welcome, Mr. Lockett!
Our District warmly welcomes Mr. Jesse Lockett! Mr. Lockett has joined our District as the new Vice Principal at Copper Hill School.
Mr. Lockett holds a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and education from Temple University. He earned a master’s degree in educational administration and is completing a second master's degree in special education, both from Rider University.
As an educator since 2010, Mr. Lockett has taught students at all levels, grades K-12. He taught physical education/health classes in the Franklin Learning Center High School in Philadelphia and in the Fisher Middle School and O'Brien Academy in Ewing. He also served as a teacher leader and administrative intern, where he gained valuable experience in coordinating scheduling; maintaining school security and facilitating crisis teams; conducting walk-throughs and teacher observations using the Danielson framework; developing PARCC schedules; presenting trainings; and supporting special education programs and services.
In addition to his teaching experience, Mr. Lockett served on active duty in the United States Air Force for four years. The District honors and thanks Mr. Lockett for his service to our country.
Mr. Lockett holds New Jersey certifications as a Principal, Supervisor, Teacher of Health & Physical Education (K-12) and Teacher of Elementary Education (K-5).
