Mrs. McConnell named Teacher of the Year!
Congratulations, Laura McConnell, Art Teacher at Francis A. Desmares School! Mrs. McConnell has been selected as the 2011-2012 Teacher of the Year in the Flemington-Raritan School District. Mrs. McConnell has been teaching in our district for 12 years and in education for 16 years. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Montclair State University and is an annual presenter at the Art Educators of New Jersey Conference. She incorporates technology into her teaching and participates in the Artsonia.com program, where she photographs student work and publishes the works in an online gallery. While inspiring her students to create, Mrs. McConnell also provides the necessary foundation for children to enjoy successful learning experiences. Congratulations, Mrs. McConnell!
